1 Teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 Clove garlic, minced
3 Tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
2 filet mignon steaks

Steps

    In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, garlic, and butter. Rub on both sides of filets. Let rest for 15 minutes.

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 450°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

    Insert the probe into the center of the filet mignon. Place the steaks directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook until the internal temperature reaches 130-135°F for medium-rare. 5-8 minutes per side.
