Grilled strawberries, fresh basil and rum create a sweet and aromatic drink that'll have you wishing you were spending happy hour on the beach.

2 | strawberries, stemmed |
3 Tablespoon | granulated sugar, divided |
3 | basil leaves |
1 1/2 Ounce | white rum |
1 Ounce | lime juice |
1/2 Ounce | smoked simple syrup (homemade or store-bought) |
1 | basil leaf, for garnish |
1 | lime slice, for garnish |

When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 375°F and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

Cut strawberries in half and coat in 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Place directly on the grill grate and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.

Add 1 tablespoon granulated sugar and basil leaves to the shaking tin and lightly muddle. Add strawberries and muddle again.

Pour in white rum, lime juice, and Traeger Smoked Simple Syrup. Shake with ice.

Strain contents into a chilled glass and garnish with a large fresh basil leaf and sliced lime. Enjoy!
