Get the crew together and pour up this smoky mulled wine recipe. We’ve added whiskey and white rum to red wine and a host of spices for a smokin’ glass of goodness.

Ingredients

2 Bottlered wine
1/2 Cupwhiskey
1/2 Cupwhite rum
1/2 Cuphoney
1 Stickcinnamon
2 pods star anise
4 whole cloves
1 (3 in) orange peel

Steps

  • Step 1

    When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 180℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, use Super Smoke if available.

  • Step 2

    In a shallow baking dish, combine wine, whiskey, rum, honey, cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves, and orange peel. Stir well until combined.

    • 2 Bottle red wine

    • 1/2 Cup whiskey

    • 1/2 Cup white rum

    • 1/2 Cup honey

    • 1 Stick cinnamon

    • 2  pods star anise

    • 4  whole cloves

    • 1  (3 in) orange peel

  • Step 3

    Place the dish directly on the grill grate and smoke for one hour until the mixture is warm.

  • Step 4

    Remove from grill and ladle into mugs leaving the mulling spices behind. Garnish with fresh cinnamon sticks, anise, orange zest, or a combination. Enjoy!
