Smoky Mountain Bramble Cocktail

Good vibes and good times are just a pour away with this concoction. We paired vodka with smoked blackberries, Alpine Liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup to create a refreshing summer cocktail.

Ingredients

Blackberry Simple Syrup
8 Ounceblackberries
1 Cupsugar

1/2 Ouncesmoked blackberry syrup
1 1/2 Ouncevodka
5 smoked blackberries
3/4 Ouncelemon juice
3/4 OunceAlpine Distilling Preserve Liqueur

  • Step 1

    When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 180℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, use Super Smoke if available.

    To make Smoked Blackberry Simple Syrup: Place blackberries on a grill mat and smoke for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Ingredients
    • 8 Ounce blackberries

  • Step 3

    Combine 1 cup water and sugar in a small sauce pan and warm over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and place 2/3 of blackberries in the simple syrup and macerate.

  • Step 4

    Strain through a fine mesh strainer and store for up to 14 days.

  • Step 5

    To make the cocktail: Muddle 4 to 5 smoked blackberries in a cocktail shaker. Add vodka, Preserve Liqueur, lemon and smoked blackberry syrup. Add ice and shake vigorously. Double strain into an old fashioned glass.

    • 1/2 Ounce smoked blackberry syrup

    • 1 1/2 Ounce vodka

    • 5  smoked blackberries

    • 3/4 Ounce lemon juice

    • 3/4 Ounce Alpine Distilling Preserve Liqueur

  • Step 6

    Garnish with a smoked blackberry and lemon twist. Enjoy!
