Grilled, sugar-coated limes and smoked simple syrup make this margarita stand out from the rest. Make a pitcher to share for your next get-together.

12 Whole | limes to yield 1-1/2 cups juice |
1/2 Cup | turbinado sugar |
3 Cup | silver tequila |
1 1/2 Cup | Cointreau |
3/4 Cup | smoked simple syrup, plus more to taste |
1/2 Cup | cocktail salt |
12 | lime wedges, slit in center |

When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 500℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

Cut limes in half, dip into turbinado sugar, and place on preheated grill flesh side down.

Grill for 5 minutes or until you get some char. Remove limes from the grill and juice them.

Add lime juice, tequila, Cointreau, and smoked simple syrup to a pitcher. Stir to combine.

Place cocktail salt in a low-sided dish just big enough to fit the rim of the glass.

Run a lime around each glass rim, dip the rim into the salt and fill the glass with ice.

Pour in premixed margarita mixture and garnish with lime wedge. Enjoy!
