Sliced, layered, and full of flavor. This easy to make, skillet baked potato cake is a must try.

8 Tablespoon | butter, melted |
2 Pound | russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced |
3 Tablespoon | kosher salt |
2 Tablespoon | freshly ground black pepper |
As Needed | thyme |
Step 1
When ready to cook, set the temperature to 375℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Brush the bottom of a cast iron skillet with part of the melted butter. Place potato slices vertically around the outer edges then fill in the middle in the same fashion.
8 Tablespoon butter, melted
2 Pound russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
Step 3
Pour additional melted butter over the top of the layers and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
3 Tablespoon kosher salt
2 Tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
Step 4
Place skillet in grill and cook for 35 to 40 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender and golden brown.
Step 5
Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh thyme over the top of the potatoes. Enjoy!
