Skip the bun and give this protein packed recipe a spin. Homemade burger patties a grilled over hickory, topped with caramelized onion, a homemade mustard aioli, and avocado all served protein style.

1 Teaspoon | ground mustard |
1 | Eggs |
1/2 Teaspoon | Sea salt |
1/2 | lemon, juiced |
1/4 Teaspoon | paprika |
1 Teaspoon | Tabasco Pepper Sauce |
1/4 Cup | avocado oil |
1 Cup | Extra light olive oil |
2 Pound | grass-fed ground beef |
To Taste | salt and pepper |
As Needed | butter lettuce |
2 Large | avocado, sliced |
2 | Sweet Onions, sliced |

When ready to cook, set the Traeger to 375℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

Heat 1 Tbsp olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add onion and saute, stirring occasionally until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.

In the bowl of a food processor, add garlic, mustard, egg, sea salt, lemon juice, paprika and tabasco and process until combined.

With the motor running, gradually stream in avocado and olive oil until it has all been added. The finished product should be smooth and the consistency of mayonnaise.

Season ground beef with salt and pepper and form into 6 hamburger patties. Place burgers directly on grill grate and cook for about 6 minutes per side.

To build the burger, place patty on top of one piece of butter lettuce and top with aioli, onion and avocado. Enjoy!
