3 Tablespoon | extra-virgin olive oil |
To Taste | honey |
As Needed | goat cheese |
1/2 Cup | brown sugar |
1
When ready to cook, set the temperature to 350℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.
2
While Traeger comes to temperature, wash yams and poke a few holes all over. Wrap yams in foil.
3
Bake for 45-60 minutes or until knife tender. You don’t want to overcook and get the yams too soft because you want to be able to cut each yam into rounds.
4
Once yams have cooled to the touch, cut each into 1/4” rounds. Lightly coat each round with oil olive and place on sheet tray.
5
Sprinkle each top with brown sugar. Using a teaspoon, place desired amount of goat cheese on each round. Next top with chopped pecans. Finally, drizzle Bee Local honey over each round.
6
Based on how sweet you like your yams, you can add more brown sugar and honey.
7
After complete, place your sheet tray back in the Traeger and cook, lid closed, for another 20 minutes. Enjoy!
