Steps

  • 1

When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 300℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

    300 ˚F / 149 ˚C

  • 2

In a large bowl, add the ground beef and season with Traeger Beef Rub and Worcestershire sauce.

  • 3

Portion the ground beef into 8 oz balls, then place a beer can in the middle to shape into a bowl. Press beef up the sides of the can. Gently remove can and season meat with salt and pepper.

  • 4

Wrap the burger bowl with bacon, if desired, and fill with your choice of ingredients. Some of our favorites fillings are mac & cheese, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, mushrooms and Swiss, or cheddar and jalapeños.

  • 5

Place the burgers directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook for about 45 minutes, until the bacon is crisp, and the burger is cooked to desired doneness.

Remove the burgers and buns from the grill and serve on toasted buns with lettuce and tomato, if using, or your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
