When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 400°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

In a microwave-safe dish, warm the bacon grease. In an aluminum pie pan, pour the bacon grease and add the popcorn kernels. Cover the pan with foil.

Place the popcorn pie pan directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook until the kernels start popping, 10 minutes. Shake the pan every couple of minutes to keep the unpopped kernels on the bottom of the pan.

Once the popping starts, shake the pan once every minute or so and let it sit on the Traeger until the popping slows down to more than 3 seconds between pops, 5 minutes.

Remove the popcorn from the grill, and transfer to a large bowl or bag. Immediately season with salt, bacon bits, and parmesan cheese, and toss to combine before serving. Enjoy!
