When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 180℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, use Super Smoke, if available.

Season the pork roast with Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub on all sides. Place the roast in an aluminum foil pan and pour the apple juice on top.

Insert the probe into the thickest part of the roast. Place the pan on the grill grates and smoke with the lid closed for 1 hour.

Remove the roast from grill and increase the Traeger temperature to 275℉. Preheat with the lid closed 15 minutes.

Return the pan to the grill and cook with the lid closed for another 2 hours. Cover the pan with aluminum foil, return to the grill, close the lid, and cook until the internal temperature reaches 205℉, about 3 hours more.

Remove the roast from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with roasted onions, potatoes, carrots, and/or apples. Enjoy!
