Nothing beats a T-bone steak. Well, one thing does, and that's a smoked T-bone. We've put the Traeger stamp on this classic recipe.

4 | (14-16 oz each) T-bone steaks |
As Needed | Traeger Prime Rib Rub or coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper |
4 Tablespoon | butter, room temperature |
Step 1
Season the steaks on both sides with Traeger Prime Rib Rub.

When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 225°F and preheat, lid closed 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, use Super Smoke if available.

Arrange the steaks on the grill grate and smoke for 35 to 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 115℉ when an instant read thermometer is inserted into the thickest part. Remove steaks from grill.

Step 4
Turn the grill temperature up to 500°F and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

Step 5
When the grill comes to temperature, sear steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 135°F for medium-rare.

Step 6
Remove from grill and top with a pat of butter. Let steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
