1/2 Cup | Popcorn, unpopped |
1 Teaspoon | salt |
3 Tablespoon | Parmesan cheese |
3 Tablespoon | Bacon Bits |
1
When ready to cook, set grill temperature to 400 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.
2
Start by warming up the bacon grease in the microwave (if it's cold). Pour the bacon grease and the popcorn kernels into an aluminum pie pan.
3
Cover the pan with foil.
4
Put the popcorn pie pan in the middle of the grill grate. It will take about 10 minutes before the kernels start popping. Make sure you shake the pan every couple of minutes to keep the unpopped kernels on the bottom of the pan.
5
Once the popping starts, keep shaking the pan once every minute or so and let it sit on the Traeger until the popping slows down to more than 3 seconds per pop. (It will be around 5 minutes.)
6
Cover the pan up again with foil and let it cook for another 5 minutes (or until the popping slows down to more than 3 seconds per pop), continuing to give it a shake every minute or so.
7
Pour all of the popcorn into a large bowl or bag and while it is still hot, season with salt and parmesan cheese, bacon bits and give it all a good toss or two. Enjoy!
