Grilled Watermelon with Lime & Smoked Chili Salt

Beat the heat with this summer treat. Fresh-cut grilled watermelon is doused with fresh squeezed lime and finished with smoked chili salt for the perfect kick.

1 Halfwatermelon, cut into wedges
2 Tablespoonolive oil
2 Tablespoonkosher salt
1/4 Teaspoonred pepper flakes
2 Wholelimes, juiced

  • Step 1

    When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 500° and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Brush watermelon wedges with olive oil and place directly on hot grill grate. Grill 15 to 20 minutes, flipping once until grill marks develop.

    • 1 Half watermelon, cut into wedges

    • 2 Tablespoon olive oil

  • Step 3

    While watermelon is grilling, pulse salt and red pepper flakes in a spice grinder until combined.

    • 1/4 Teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • Step 4

    Remove watermelon from the grill and squeeze lime juice over the top. Sprinkle with chili salt and serve. Enjoy!
