Smoked nuts make an excellent snack on their own but also add wood-fired crunch to salads, soups, pastas, and are an excellent addition to a cheese board. Enjoy pure wood-fired flavor or season the nuts (a bit of sweet and heat is nice) before smoking as you like.

Preheat the Traeger grill with the lid closed to to 225°F; this will take about 15 minutes. If you have it, use Super Smoke.

Toss the nuts with the clarified butter or oil. Season the nuts as you like then spread them out on a rimmed baking sheet.

Place baking sheet directly on grill grate and smoke, tossing nuts occasionally, for 30 minutes.

Let cool completely. Enjoy right away or store airtight at room temperature.
