Units of Measurement:
main
3/4 Cup warm water
1 Tablespoon olive oil
2 Cup all-purpose flour
2 1/4 Teaspoon instant yeast
1 1/2 Teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoon kosher salt

Steps

  • 1

Combine the water and the oil. IF USING A FOOD PROCESSOR: Pulse the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in it to combine. With the processor running, add the water and oil in a stream until combined. Continue to process for an additional 30 seconds. The dough will be sticky and may not be a ball shape. IF USING A STAND MIXER: Fit it with the dough hook. Add the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt and mix on low to combine. With the mixer on low, add the oil and water in a stream. Allow the dough to come together, stopping the mixer and scraping down the sides of the bowl, if necessary. Continue to knead on low speed until a smooth and sticky dough ball forms, 3 to 4 minutes.

  • 2

Carefully turn the dough out onto a clean work surface. Divide the dough into two equal pieces, and, using a small amount of additional flour if necessary, shape the dough into smooth balls.

  • 3

Cover the dough with an inverted bowl or a kitchen towel. Let rise for 20 to 30 minutes at room temperature before using. Enjoy!
