Everything Pigs in a Blanket

The hogs on the offensive line will be protecting these pigs in a blanket, a favorite of Todd Fritz from The Dan Patrick Show. When you need a quick and easy appetizer, start the grill and roll these lil’ smokies into their dough uniforms.

Ingredients

As NeededNonstick cooking spray, for greasing
2 Tablespoonpoppy seeds
1 Tablespoondried minced onion
2 Teaspoondried minced garlic
1 Teaspooncoarse salt
2 Tablespoonsesame seeds
1/4 Cupdijon mustard
1 (8 oz) can of Pillsbury Original Crescent Roll dough
1 Largeegg, lightly beaten
20 cocktail beef frankfurters
As NeededMustard or your favorite dipping sauce, for serving

Steps

  • Step 1

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 350°F and preheat with the lid closed 15 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Grease a baking sheet with nonstick spray.

    Ingredients

  • Step 3

    In a small bowl, mix together the poppy seeds, dried onion, dried garlic, salt, and sesame seeds.

    • 2 Tablespoon poppy seeds

    • 1 Tablespoon dried minced onion

    • 2 Teaspoon dried minced garlic

    • 1 Teaspoon coarse salt

    • 2 Tablespoon sesame seeds

  • Step 4

    Cut each crescent roll dough triangle into thirds lengthwise, making 3 narrow triangles. Brush the dough strips lightly with Dijon mustard.

    Ingredients
    • 1/4 Cup dijon mustard

    •  1 (8 oz) can of Pillsbury Original Crescent Roll dough

  • Step 5

    Place a cocktail beef frankfurter at the wide end of each dough strip and roll up. Arrange, seam-side down, on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with the everything seasoning.

    • 1 Large egg, lightly beaten

    • 20  cocktail beef frankfurters

  • Step 6

    Place the baking sheet on the grill grates, close the lid, and bake until the dough is golden brown, 12–15 minutes.

    Serve with mustard or your dipping sauce of choice. Enjoy!
