Grilled Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs

Everything is better with bacon. Take your dogs to to the next level with crispy bacon, melty cheddar cheese, and all your favorite toppings.

8 OunceBlock Colby or Cheddar Cheese
8 Wholehot dogs
8 SlicesThin-cut bacon
Ketchup, for serving

Steps

  • Step 1

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 350°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Using a sharp knife on a cutting board, slice the cheese into eight long strips. Slice the hot dogs lengthwise, leaving a "hinge" on one side, and tuck a piece of cheese into each.

    • 8 Ounce Block Colby or Cheddar Cheese

    • 8 Whole hot dogs

  • Step 3

    Wrap a slice of bacon in a spiral fashion around each hot dog and secure with toothpicks.

  • Step 4

    Place the bacon-wrapped hot dogs directly on the grill grates, close the lid, and cook for 20-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bacon has crisped up.

  • Step 5

    Remove the hot dogs from the grill. Transfer to the buns and serve immediately with ketchup, mustard, and relish, as desired. Enjoy!
