Smoked Chicken with Apricot BBQ Glaze

You can't beat savory and sweet. Whole chicken halved and rubbed down with our chicken blend, smoked and mopped with apricot BBQ glaze.

2 Whole Chickens, halved
4 Tablespoon Traeger Chicken Rub
1 Cup Traeger Apricot BBQ Sauce

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger to 375℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

    Season chicken with Chicken Rub and place on grill meat side up. Cook 1 hour or until internal temperature has reached 160℉ in the breast and 175℉ in the leg.

    Baste each chicken half with a bit of the Apricot BBQ glaze and return to grill for 10 minutes.

    Remove chicken from the grill and allow to rest 5-10 minutes. Portion each half by removing the leg and cutting each breast in half leaving you with four legs and 8 breast pieces. Serve with your favorite vegetables or sides. Enjoy!
